Heather Adams has been named director of the Childrens Center at Baptist Hospital in Kendall.
Prior to working at Baptist Hospital, Adams was most recently associate director of the Center for Excellence in Early Education for the United Way of Miami-Dade County. She has more than eight years of experience with early childhood education and has served as director of early childhood programs for the YWCA of Greater Miami, Inc., and Miami Dade Colleges North and Wolfson campuses.
Adams earned both a bachelors and masters degree in social work from Florida International University. She is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children and serves on the board for the South Florida Association of Young Children and the ReUse/ReThink Center.
